If you haven’t seen Black Mirror yet, it is very similar to The Twilight Zone. Each episode is a self-contained story, so you do not need to watch them in order. Much like The Twilight Zone, the content is dark and there are rarely (if ever?) happy endings.
The very first episode, “The National Anthem”, may be the most messed up story in the entire series. It’s kind of hard to recommend the show (streaming on Netflix) to a friend when the first installment will make them look at you with shame and disgust. This is where a Black Mirror episode guide comes in handy.
One thing to note about the series is that every episode involves a theme that shows the bad side of technology. I love technology (sing it with me), and from my perspective it’s mostly used for good, but I enjoy the lessons we learn from this show.
For your benefit, I have made this Black Mirror episode guide infographic so that you can gradually work your way up to the stories that will keep you up at night. That way, you can stop when you begin to reach your limit (come on – keep watching, you pussy).
Personally, my favorite episodes are “The Entire History of You”, “White Bear”, “White Christmas”, and “Shut Up and Dance”. If you have found this Black Mirror episode guide helpful, please share it!
I was a huge fan of Wolfenstein (the infographic is a borrowed theme from the first popular first-person shooter) and if you haven’t played it, it’s a must because you get to kill Hitler with a Gatlin gun.
