If you came here to learn something, good for you, but we can’t guarantee it will be anything useful. Our nerd-themed topics are predictably (except for sports) the following subjects:

I was born in 1982 and I don’t game as much as I used to, so the kind of insight you will find there will be somewhat limited. Look for information on system and title releases, but don’t expect amazing game tips or anything.

I was home-schooled for most of my childhood and it’s because my parents were religious, so my science pedigree is not great. The good news is, I do have a good understanding of the scientific method and I have a lot of interest and enthusiasm with regard to science.

I am a sports nerd and I particularly like basketball (because of the data) and football (because of the elaborate plays and strategy).

I don’t know what I would do without the internet. I often ask people this question, “If you could have $1M for every year you travel back in time, how far would you go?” My answer is that I’d have a very hard time traveling beyond 2011 (because of speed and access limitations). The web is mostly awesome and it’s amazing to live in the age of information.

More than anything, I am a nerd about film and TV (and literature). We are currently in the golden age of TV and I am loving it. Because of bigger budgets, better actors, and superior special effects, growing up, I always preferred movies to TV shows. Now the playing field is level and TV writers have 10+ episodes to write a good, detailed story…and television/streaming is just getting better and better.
