Laika the Space Dog
We want you to know two things about us at nerdsgetme…we are passionate about nerd culture and we love animals. I’ll start with the nerdy shit.
Comics, movies, TV shows, books, video games, etc. are all cool as hell. They are not a waste of time. They make people happy and that’s kind of the point of life. They definitely make us happy, hence this whole nerdsgetme project.
Did I mention we love animals? That is why we give 5% of the proceeds from our T-shirt sales to the Arizona Humane Society.
We support the adoption of pets! There are too many good animals available and in need of a good home. Nothing against people who prefer getting a newborn puppy from a breeder, but if you are on the margin considering one or the other, please adopt!
I was just like you once and adopting was one of the best choices I’ve ever made. You feel a strong bond from the get-go, because you have the sense that you “rescued” the dog (or cat). If you adopt from a no-kill shelter, you are still saving a life in the sense that that shelter now has room for one more dog to bring in.
I can’t stress this enough, please adopt and please donate to the Arizona Humane Society, or a similar organization in your area.
